I haven’t heard anyone other than Pres. Bush speak out against the terrorists. So far, all the blame seems to be directed at the Russian military and police for not preventing the tragedy, implying that we have come to expect Islamic terrorism with the same insensitivity as we do towards hurricanes and earth quakes, an act of God. And I suppose in the Islamic mind terrorism is an act of God, or at least an act sanctioned by God. Why else do the terrorists shout, "God is great," just before pulling the trigger? </div> <bR> <div> Notwithstanding that Russia may have violated the civil rights of Chechens and Ingush, from an American Christian point of view, it’s no excuse for the wholesale slaughter of innocent children. Nor is it an excuse for Islam to remain silent in the face of such a senseless, cowardly, atrocious massacre. To remain blatantly and conspicuously silent is to give comfort and encouragement to the terrorists.</div> <bR> <div> The same principle applies to the LDS Church. Thousands of men, women and children are being exploited by the 132<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >nd</FONT> Section of the Doctrine & Covenants. The LDS Church is the owner and guardian of 132. When the Church neglects to speak out against Mormon fundamentalists who use 132 to manipulate and abuse gullible Mormons, the Church is sending a message of comfort and encouragement.</div> <bR> <div> For crying-out-loud! What’s with religion that it can unleash doctrine and open doors that lead to crime and corruption, and not be held accountable? What kind of a religion is it that exalts suicide bombers who slaughter little children? What kind of religion is it that exalts men who coerce women and little girls into becoming plural sex partners? </div> <bR> <div> If the hundreds of millions of Muslims are really peaceable, non violent, God fearing, human creatures, then why are they not speaking out against the terrorists who are making all Muslims look like hypocrites? ...Saying nothing against their fellow Muslims? ...Doing nothing to clean up their own house?  Its tantamount to leaving a loaded pistol laying around and saying "I’m not responsible for what someone else does with that loaded gun!" </div> <bR> <div> Are the pious Muslims not speaking out against terrorists for the same reason Latter-day Saints are not speaking out against abusive polygamists? </div> <bR> <div> At least the Pope apologized for the Papal Inquisition, even though he qualified his apology by saying the Inquisition was not as bad as some people made it look.
